MASTERPIECE MEMBERS PROVIDE DSP-RELATED PRODUCTS, SERVICES

Masterpiece members provide DSP-related products, services Nuntius Systems has joined 3DSP's Masterpiece partnership program, whose main objective is to create a network of complementary suppliers of DSP- or IP-related products and services for designers. The program helps in developing system solutions for the communication marketplace, providing access to recent and thoroughly integrated technologies.

Says Tom Beaver, CEO and president of 3DSP, "The goal of our Masterpiece partnership program is to make our customers more successful by helping them find and use hardware and software IP, design tools, and design services they need to get innovative next-generation DSP-based products to market more quickly."

3DSP (Irvine, Calif.) and Nuntius (also Irvine, Calif.) have previously joined in cooperative efforts to produce a family of highly optimized voice-over-packet (VoP) algorithms for G.722, G.726, and G.729 A/B VoP standards. 3DSP has recently announced a voice-over-packet software suite, and the companies have co-developed various packet voice codecs. 3DSP and Nuntius have jointly developed a G.722 voice compression algorithm that requires 3.9 megacycles/s in processor bandwidth and uses 1.7 kbytes of program storage for the decoder, encoder, and QMF all together.
